MEET GENNA BOHLMAN

FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s pioneering franchisee was one of the first to bring the brand’s unique concept to life as a franchise owner. After a transformative experience as a client, Genna saw the potential in the brand and became the first to invest in a FACE FOUNDRIÉ location. Since then, she has expanded to multiple locations in Minnesota, all while focusing on building strong community ties and a positive team culture. With her background in corporate business, Genna is dedicated to empowering women and providing her team with opportunities to grow and succeed, making a lasting impact as a leader in the franchise community.

 

WHAT IS YOUR NAME? HOW MANY FACE FOUNDRIÉ LOCATIONS DO YOU OWN AND WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

Genna: “My name is Genna Bohlman and I own three FACE FOUNDRIÉ locations. They’re in Apple Valley, Blaine, and Wayzata, Minnesota.”

 

YOU WERE AN EARLY ADOPTER OF THE CONCEPT, WHAT LED YOU TO HAVE AN INTEREST IN BECOMING A FACE FOUNDRIÉ FRANCHISE OWNER?

Genna: “What led me to be an early adopter was the experience as a client. So I got the opportunity to go to the Minneapolis location early in its infancy and experience it as a client. So I was able to get the FACE FOUNDRIÉ Foundrié Glow, and just love the experience end to end. The vibe, the decor, the inclusivity, the education I received, the service was amazing and I loved the price points. It was something that I never thought I could fit into my budget and my time as a busy mom. So just seeing that this was an opportunity, I knew there would be so many other people that would be interested in the concept. And so I was really excited to learn more and to get involved.”

 

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS FOR YOUR FACE FOUNDRIÉ FRANCHISES?

Genna: “My future plans are really to deepen our connections within the local community. All three of my planned locations are open, and so we’re really just getting to know our clients, getting to be involved in other businesses in our area, in the community, a lot of donations, contributions that we do, getting involved in the local schools, things like that. So just continuing to deepen those connections and continuing to grow and innovate as the brand does with our services and our products.”

 

HOW HAVE YOU BUILT SUCH AN INCREDIBLE TEAM CULTURE?

Genna: “Culture is so important. It’s something that we work on every single day. It needs constant attention just to maintain and continue to improve. I would say we really focus on two elements on a daily basis, and that’s heart — our clients and our team come first, and we want to make sure we’re taking care of both every single day — and then hustle. We are hard workers. We always are focused on, kind of, what’s next, continuing to grow and evolve and just continuously improve. I’m lucky to have amazing managers at all of my stores. They really set the tone and lead the team on a daily basis, so they’re critical to that equation also.”

 

WHAT IS YOUR “WHY?”

Genna: “My “why” is building women’s confidence. From my teenage years, I suffered from terrible, terrible acne that created a lot of insecurity all the way through adulthood when I had imposter syndrome, I think, like many women do in the workplace. That and a myriad of other experiences really led me to have fluctuations in confidence. And so I love that through FACE FOUNDRIÉ, we can impact women’s confidence in their skin in the literal sense, helping them feel more comfortable, more confident, but also through my team and being able to lead women in their careers and being able to help them grow, develop and continually evolve.”

 

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW FACE FOUNDRIÉ FRANCHISEE?

Genna: “I would tell a new FACE FOUNDRIÉ franchisee that the community of franchisees is top notch. Just would recommend that they reach out. There are high highs and low lows. Kind of as you’re building a new store, as you’re developing a team and just that sense of community and being able to share learnings and just kind of go through things together. Everyone brings such a unique skillset, everyone has a different background from what they did previous to FACE FOUNDRIÉ, that there’s always ways to help each other. They’re incredibly giving in their time, their advice, their wisdom. And so just recommend to make those connections early and often.”
