Meet Michele Henry, the Founder and CEO of FACE FOUNDRIÉ. With a background in apparel design and owning a successful women’s clothing chain, Michele’s entrepreneurial journey took a new direction when she founded FACE FOUNDRIÉ. Inspired by her struggles with hormonal acne, she sought to create a skincare experience that was accessible, affordable, and tailored to meet the needs of busy individuals. Under her leadership, FACE FOUNDRIÉ has quickly grown, with ambitious plans for expansion both nationally and internationally. Michele’s passion for empowering both her clients and franchisees continues to drive the brand’s success and evolution.

 

WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE YOU STARTED FACE FOUNDRIÉ?

Michele: “I was actually in apparel design. I owned a women’s clothing chain, which is called Primp. It’s still in existence, and I owned and operated that for almost nine years.”

 

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START FACE FOUNDRIÉ?

Michele: “Truly, the inspiration behind FACE FOUNDRIÉ was my own personal struggles with hormonal acne and not really having a grasp on my skincare routine. There was no brand or concept out there that allowed you to come in and have a same day service and a same day experience that was really price appropriate, and that was why I sought out FACE FOUNDRIÉ and brought in experts to help elevate it.”

 

AS THE COMPANY GROWS AND EXPANDS, WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PART OF ITS EVOLUTION?

Michele: “There have been so many amazing parts to FACE FOUNDRIÉ. I would say there are probably three big components that have been my favorite because I can’t pick just one. So the franchisees, first and foremost, they are fantastic, they’re passionate, they’re amazing, and they really drive home our mission. Our employees have been instrumental in our growth and so pivotal in how we’ve been able to expand after COVID. And our clients. They have been so loyal. Our members, they are fantastic. They have been so supportive that we would not have been able to grow as quickly as we…as we have without all three.”

 

WHY DID YOU DECIDE ON FRANCHISING?

Michele: “I always loved the franchising model. I think it is great to have someone with an entrepreneurial spark and spirit, and providing them a foundation and a roadmap has been something that I’ve always wanted to do with every concept that I’ve started. So attracting that like-minded, you know, passionate person was crucial.”

 

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING WITH FRANCHISEES? 

Michele: “My favorite part of working with franchisees has been their passion and excitement. They truly mirror our values, and our vision, and everything we want to manifest with this brand and this concept. And they have fantastic ideas. Some of our biggest evolutions have come from our franchisees and that will never change. Having that feedback is amazing.”

 

AS YOU LOOK TO THE FUTURE, WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND FACE FOUNDRIÉ? WHAT IS YOUR FUTURE VISION FOR THE COMPANY?

Michele: “What is next for FACE FOUNDRIÉ? We have really big, lofty goals. We believe that we can get 400-500 stores in the next 3-5 years for FACE FOUNDRIÉ nationally, and then we are taking the brand on an international escapade and can’t wait to start expanding across the globe.”
