The Winter Advantage: Why January Is Perfect For Corrective Treatments

January 29, 2026

The start of a new year brings a natural urge to reset. But we prefer to look at January through a different lens: intentionality. Just as we audit our habits and reorganize our homes, this month offers a natural window to set intentions for our skin through corrective treatments. While the rest of the world rushes on, your skin’s entering the prime season for transformation.

WHY TIMING IS EVERYTHING

If you’ve been curious about a chemical peel or microchanneling, winter is your best friend. Corrective treatments work by stimulating the skin’s natural healing response, which makes the recovery period just as important as the treatment itself.

  • LESS SUN EXPOSURE: Corrective treatments can make your skin temporarily photosensitive. With shorter days and more time spent indoors, January can be considered a “safe haven” from the intense UV rays of summer, making it that much easier to protect your results.
  • A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT: Healing is easier when you aren’t battling mid-summer humidity or sweat. The cool winter air allows your skin to recover in a calm, controlled setting.
  • THE LONG GAME: Skin transformation is a journey of consistency. Starting your corrective skincare series in January ensures your skin is fully healed, strengthened and glowing just in time for spring and summer.

WHAT IS “CORRECTIVE” SKINCARE, ANYWAY?

At its core, corrective skincare goes beyond the surface. Corrective treatments target specific concerns more deeply, such as:

  • Smoothing uneven texture
  • Fading stubborn hyperpigmentation, sun damage or melasma
  • Clearing persistent acne or acne scars
  • Softening fine lines and signs of aging

TWO OF OUR GO-TO CORRECTIVE TREATMENTS AT FACE FOUNDRIÉ INCLUDE:

  1. Chemical Peels: Using PCA SKIN chemical peels, we apply a professional-grade solution that gently dissolves the bonds holding dead skin cells on the surface. This process signals your skin to begin producing fresh, healthy new cells. PCA SKIN peels are highly customizable, ranging from light “lunchtime” options like to more advanced treatments. Our skin experts will work with you to determine what is best for your skin, goals and lifestyle. Considered the gold standard for improving skin tone, texture and clarity, these peels are all about shedding the old to make room for renewed, glowing skin.
  2. Microchanneling Powered By Procell: If you’re looking for long-term improvement in skin firmness and texture, microchanneling is a game-changer. While you may have heard of microneedling, microchanneling is a more refined evolution of that technology. Traditional microneedling uses a handheld pen with needles that rotate or drag over the skin. Microchanneling uses a unique stamping technique to create clean, vertical channels. This results in significantly less inflammation and less downtime while more effectively delivering potent growth factors into the skin to stimulate collagen production.

CORRECTIVE WITH CONFIDENCE

While “downtime” can feel like a hurdle, starting in January makes it a necessary part of your ritual. You don’t have to navigate these treatments alone. Our estheticians are here to assess your skin’s unique needs and guide you toward the path that feels right for you and your goals. Let’s move past the quick fixes and start a conversation with your skin that lasts all year long.

XOXO,
FACE FOUNDRIÉ
