When should I get to my appointment?
Please arrive 10 minutes early so you can fill out all your forms. If you arrive late, we’ll try our best to accommodate you with the time left in your scheduled appointment.
SHOULD I HAVE MY MAKEUP OFF WHEN I ARRIVE?
Our facial services include a full cleansing, so we’ll remove your makeup. Just close your eyes, relax and let us take care of the rest!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Wear whatever you’d like, we’ll cover your clothes for protection!
WHO WILL BE GIVING ME MY FACIAL?
One of our highly-trained estheticians will perform your facial!

HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH FACIAL ENHANCEMENTS ARE RIGHT FOR ME?

WILL MY SKIN BE RED AFTER?
After most of our facials, your skin will be glowing and healthy. If you have sensitive skin, it may appear a little pink afterward.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO HAVE A REGULAR FACIAL, AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE ONE?
It’s very important to establish a skincare routine. We’ll help you develop a skin care program that works for your skin type, concerns and goals. We can also suggest our highly effective skincare products.
ARE YOU WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! If you have special requirements, we encourage you to advise staff prior to your facial so we can accommodate you accordingly.
I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN, CAN I GET A FACIAL?
Yes, absolutely! You can’t go wrong with our Clean + Natural Focused Facial, which works for all skin types — even the most sensitive. Plus, our estheticians will conduct a skin analysis and recommend which facial would be best for you.
WHAT IS LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE?
It helps to reduce swelling and decrease fluid retention and weight gain. It also helps with stress relief, aids in better sleep, circulates blood, eliminates toxins, detoxifies, is good for acne, and improves your skin’s appearance.
HOW DO YOU SANITIZE?
We follow the latest and most effective disinfecting procedures here at FACE FOUNDRIÉ. Before every service, we sanitize all tools and equipment with hospital-grade disinfectant. During extractions, our estheticians wear disposable gloves. We dispose of all porous tools we use during your service.
ARE EXTRACTIONS INCLUDED IN THE FACIAL?
You have the option to add extractions to ANY of our facials!
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER MY FACIAL?
It’s good to let your skin breathe after your service, but makeup after a facial is up to you.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME OR PAIN INVOLVED?
Nope! You can put on makeup and go about your day right after your service.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one service. Smooth, hydrated skin may last 5 to 7 days, or even longer!
HOW MANY SERVICES ARE NEEDED TO SEE RESULTS? HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
We recommend one focused or next-level facial per month to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, and oily and congested skin.
What is the Acne Agent powered by Face Reality® facial?
The in-store service portion of the ultimate acne attack plan! This powerhouse combo of science-backed products includes a hydrating enzyme mask, effective chemical peel and LED light therapy, the secret weapon your skin’s been waiting for.
Expertly designed to target congested, textured, and acne-prone skin like never before. For best results, we highly recommend committing to a consistent service plan and at-home regimen through our Bootcamp Packages. Consistency = Results, especially when it comes to acne-prone skin!

What enhancements pair well with Acne Agent Powered by Face Reality® facial?
When struggling with acne, we are often sensitive due to inflammation or irritation, meaning our first goal is to calm and soothe your barrier! Acne Agent is powerful enough on its own, but who does not love a scalp massage to melt away the stress of struggling with breakouts? Once you begin to clear your skin, we can start customizing your experience with enhancements that will help you maintain a healthy glow.
What Face Reality® products should I use for my acne-prone skin?
Customization is key! Skin is not a quick fix, but rather a journey. Be sure to book with your Acne Agent skin expert, so that they can create an at-home routine built around exactly what your skin needs!
Do I need to stop using makeup while treating my acne?
Makeup will always be foreign to our skin; we love a good tinted SPF instead. But as long as you are double cleansing in the evening, ensuring all your makeup is off for the day prior to your skin care routine, it is still doable! Encouraged to pause, but we understand that it’s hard to give up!
What ingredients should I avoid if I’m acne-prone?
Everyone’s skin and body are different, but here are a few common triggers!
(As always, we recommend consulting a doctor and are not giving any recommendations)
Milk, cheese, whey protein, soy products, and peanut butter.
Don’t worry, here are some potential alternatives: Almond milk, rice milk, nut cheese, pea protein, hemp protein, and almond butter. Don’t forget about some quick lifestyle changes as well; changing your pillowcase, being aware of water softener, fabric softener, picking/squeezing, etc.
How long will it take to see results with Face Reality®?
Skin is the largest organ in your body, meaning it takes time to heal! In most cases, it can take at least 3 months to see significant clearing of skin. It takes 30 to 90 days for a microcomedone (breakout) to surface, and that acne will continue to come to the surface during the first 3 months on the program. This is why it is so important to follow all the proper steps of your clearing journey so that we can get you there as soon as possible!
Is it okay to use exfoliants if I have active breakouts?
The beauty of chemical exfoliators is that they can absorb into your skin and do their job without causing any friction! Please chat with your Acne Agent skin expert to find what form is best for you + your skin.
Do I need different products for hormonal vs. bacterial acne?
All acne is unique! There are multiple different types of acne and causes. This is why it’s so important to seek treatment and home care routine advice from your local Acne Agent skin expert.
How is the Acne Agent Powered By Face Reality® facial different from other services on our Menu?
The Acne Agent facial is specifically designed for those who are serious about treating acne at the source. It’s not just a one-time service; it’s a targeted, results-driven treatment for clients ready to commit to a customized plan.
How often should I receive the Acne Agent facial?
Consistency is key! Your at-home routine using Face Reality® products plays a major role, about 80% of your clearing progress. Why? These acne-safe products are free of pore-clogging ingredients and follow a carefully timed schedule of active ingredients (like L-mandelic, salicylic, glycolic acid, vitamin A, and benzoyl peroxide) to help your skin gradually acclimate and respond effectively.
The other 20% comes from your in-store treatment plan, which includes professional exfoliation, extractions, and strengthening your routine as your skin evolves.
For best results, we recommend coming in every 2 weeks for the first 3 months.
Short on time? Once a month can still work, just be extra diligent with your home care routine so we don’t lose momentum in your clearing journey!
WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?
Dermaplaning is an effective and safe exfoliation treatment. Using a sterile, surgical scalpel we gently remove the top-most layer of dead skin and the fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). It helps skincare products work better, makes your skin look and feel smoother, and reduces the appearance of acne scars. Plus, by removing facial hair that can trap dirt and oils, your makeup goes on much smoother.
WHAT IS THE SKIN RENEWAL MASK BY BIOEFFECT?
It’s a deeply soothing hydrogel mask specifically designed to intensely moisturize your face and maximize the benefits of BIOEFFECT serums.
WHAT IS THE CHEMICAL PEEL?
Based on your skin concerns and what you want to get from your facial service, your esthetician will choose which peel is appropriate! You can add a chemical peel to any facial.
WHAT IS THE LED TREATMENT?
LED Therapy (light therapy) helps boost collagen production and treats existing acne. It’s painless, relaxing, and helps plump the skin.
WHAT IS THE ENZYME MASK?
A gentle exfoliation that will effectively polish and rejuvenate your skin, leaving you with a healthy glow.
WHAT IS THE SCALP MASSAGE?
Who doesn’t love a good head massage? This service will provide a relaxing scalp, neck, and shoulder massage to elevate your service to pure bliss.
WHAT IS A HUNGARIAN MASSAGE?
A stimulating massage to tighten and tone your face, leaving you feeling refreshed and sculpted.
WHAT IS GUA SHA?
An ancient Chinese medicine practice that uses a rose quartz stone to perform a lymphatic drainage massage, helping to remove toxins, absorb water, and reduce swelling.
WHAT IS FACIAL CUPPING?
Facial cupping helps instantly plump fine lines and wrinkles. It increases circulation to stimulate collagen and elastin production, and it also assists with lymphatic drainage.
WHAT CONTRAINDICATIONS ARE THERE FOR WAXING?
You’re not eligible for waxing if you’re taking any of the following medications or have had any of the following services recently:
Accutane (acne medication), Adapalene (acne medication), Alustra (Retin A), Antibiotics, Avage (Tazorac – acne medication), Avita (a type of Retin A), any products with retinol, Clindamycin, Differin (acne medication), Doxycycline, Erythromycin, Isotretinoin (Accutane), Madifloxicine, Metronidazole, Minocycline, Renova (Retin A), Tazarotene (Retin A), Tetracycline, Tretinoin (like Retin A).
The following products can cause the skin to be overly sensitive:
Acne medications not listed above, Antibiotics, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic), Topical Antibiotics, Retinol, Salicylic Acid, Exfoliants, laser peels, microdermabrasion.
WHAT IF I’M WEARING EYE MAKEUP FOR MY LASH LIFT + TINT APPOINTMENT?
We recommended avoiding wearing eye makeup, especially mascara, on the day of your lash lift. Residue or oils from eye products can interfere with the lifting solution, preventing it from fully processing and reducing the effectiveness or longevity of your results. Arriving with clean, makeup-free lashes ensures the best possible lift and outcome!
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE MONTHLY FACIAL MAVEN?
One focused facial, one enhancement, and 10% off additional services and products. If you upgrade to the Firm AF you won’t get the enhancement!
WHEN WILL MY MEMBERSHIP BILLING BE RUN EACH MONTH?
All memberships will be billed on the first of each month.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO FREEZE A MEMBERSHIP IF I WERE TO BE TRAVELING THAT MONTH?
Yes, we don’t mind that at all! You can freeze your membership for up to 3 months and for any reason, at no cost.

SHOULD I STILL TIP MY ESTHETICIANS IF I AM A MEMBER?
Although tips are not required, our estheticians truly appreciate it!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT SHOW UP TO MY APPOINTMENT OR CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS?
Your time is precious here at FACE FOUNDRIÉ! We hold on to your appointment time and ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us 24 hours notice so you won’t get charged 50% of the service. We appreciate you giving us that 24-hour buffer because it allows our estheticians to adjust their schedules and hopefully accommodate clients on our waitlist! If you have a Facial Maven membership, you’ll lose your facial for that month.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND AND WANT TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP, BUT IT HASN’T BEEN 6 MONTHS?
No problem, just let us know!
I RECEIVED A 10% OFF CARD. CAN I USE THAT ON TOP OF MY MEMBERSHIP FOR AN ADDITIONAL 10% OFF?
Unfortunately, discounts can’t be used on top of membership discounts.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN GET A FACIAL AT ONCE?
We can do 5 facials at once in the facial bar. If you have more than that at your party, you’re welcome to bring in food and drinks while you wait for each other!
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY FOR FACE PARTIES?
We require 72 hours’ notice to cancel your Face Party and require a credit card on file when booking these events.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM FOR FACE PARTIES?
We require at least 5 people for group events.
DO I NEED TO SHAVE PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT?
If you would like to shave, do so at least one day before your appointment. Don’t shave the day of because some services or ingredients may irritate freshly shaven skin. If you don’t want to shave, that’s fine too — all beards are welcome!

WHICH FACIALS CAN I CHOOSE FROM?
All of our facials work for women and men! Choose whichever one you’d like.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for individuals and a 72-hour cancellation policy for Face Parties of 5 or more people. Please note that you’ll be charged 50% of the service to cover the time and opportunity cost for our estheticians if you don’t notify us of your cancellation within those time frames. WHAT IS YOUR PRODUCT RETURN POLICY?
If an adverse reaction occurs, please contact the store immediately. All unopened products will be fully refunded. After 14 days, you’ll get a store credit instead of a refund.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD?
To secure your appointment and enforce our cancellation policies if necessary. For security purposes, you may notice a $1 fee on your card — no need to worry! It’ll go right back onto your card within a few days. You can use a different card when checking out. And FYI, we’re a cashless establishment!
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH APPOINTMENT CHANGES?
We understand that life happens. If you need to adjust the time of your appointment, please call or email the store you are booking at. We’ll try our best to accommodate you. Note that if you make changes to your appointment within 24 hours, you will be charged a late-change fee of 50% of the service price.
WHY ARE YOU A CASHLESS ESTABLISHMENT?
Transactions are quicker and make for an easier checkout. We can track your purchases and send you loyalty points/rewards. And at the end of the day, most cash is unsanitary as it’s passed from hand to hand.
Can I Use My Health Savings Account (HSa) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) To Pay?
Yes! We now accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible expenses.
Which Services And Products Are Eligible?
It depends on your plan; coverage for facials and skincare products can vary. SPF products are commonly covered across many plans, and we are happy to help you pick one out. For services or other products, you’ll want to check with your plan provider or get a letter of medical necessity from your doctor.
What Payment Methods Can I Use?
You can use your FSA/HSA card (Visa or Mastercard) just like a credit card.
Can I Use HSA/FSA For Gift Cards Or Memberships?
Typically, no, gift cards and memberships are not covered by most plans.
What Happens If My HSA/FSA card Is Declined?
If your card is declined, you can use another form of payment.
Do I Need To Bring Any Documentation?
No, but it’s your responsibility to ensure your plan covers the service or product and to keep any necessary records for reimbursement.
How Do I Get A Receipt For My HSA/FSA?
You’ll receive an itemized receipt after your appointment that you can submit to your plan if needed.
